Choose from two pricing options – Self Managed DIY or Self Managed PLUS. As the names suggest you’ll be in the driver’s seat regardless of which option you choose. The only difference is how much help you’d like from us along the way.
Self Managed DIY
Our Fees = 10% of the package value (* after 3 months, subject to terms)
A DIY (do-it-yourself) option for those who would like to entirely self-manage their package. We provide you with a basic level of support and work alongside you to manage your package funds and payments.

(*) All DIY clients commence as provisional DIY which means initially the monthly fee is 20% of package value. After 3 months, and having successfully demonstrated the ability to self manage (see Self Management Charter) fees are reduced to 10%.
Self Managed PLUS
Our fees = 20% of package value
For those who would like to self-manage but require extra help along the way. We complete full package set up and are more hands on in helping you navigate the aged care system, finding providers (you schedule them) and in maximising your home care package. We also work alongside you to manage your package funds and payments.

Though we employ home care workers directly, Local (& Capital) Guardians have been very professional and helpful in the management, advice and other aspects (medical - advisory support - financial) of her package. Earlier this year (2022) my wife was funded for Home Care Level 3. I was at a loss as to who to take on as a provider discovering that many of them had all kinds of fees amounting to 30% to 40% of our package. I knew that I could self-manage the package and after continuing to search I found Local Guardians on the Sunshine Coast. Our manager with LG guided me through the entire process of creating the Care Plan and budget and signing us up. After 3 months I was fully managing the package and LG was charging only an 8% overall fee. That meant so many more funds were available to support my wife.
