Do I get a year’s funding on the start date?

The daily subsidy funding is calculated on a daily basis and accumulated over the course of the month. This means that the longer you are in the home care system, the more funding you will accumulate. Conversely, if you are only in the system for a short period of time, such as one day, you will only accumulate one day of funding. It’s important to understand that the funding is not paid in a lump sum up front, but rather accumulates daily based on your eligibility and the level of Home Care Package you have been approved for.

It’s important to note that you cannot spend more than you have accumulated. If you exceed your agreed upon budget, this is considered a private expense.
